The Washington Trust for Historic Preservation is proud to present a special illustrated talk and book signing with Paul Dorpat and Jean Sherrard, authors of the new book Seattle Now & Then: The Historic Hundred!

Over the course of three decades, Seattle public historian Paul Dorpat has written more than 1,800 photo-history columns for the Sunday magazine of the Seattle Times, documenting the city’s heritage. Seattle Now & Then: The Historic Hundred compiles 100 of his most compelling, essential columns, each one accompanied by a stunning “then” image and a new, matching, full-color “now” image by photographer Jean Sherrard.

This evening, hear Paul and Jean discuss the making of the book and the layers of Seattle history they’ve uncovered along the way. Copies of the book will be available for purchase for $55 (list price $49.95 plus $5 sales tax). Paul and Jean will gladly personally inscribe each book that is purchased!

Attendance is free, but please RSVP by November 4.
